I am fascinated by our cultures and fascinated by our denial of them

Hamish Keith is an artist, author, TV Presenter, art historian, art commentator, art curator and columnist; or as Keith titles himself in this interview “cultural odd-job man”.

Hamish Keith lives and breathes art; from graduating with a Diploma in Fine Arts at the Canterbury School of Fine Art in 1956 to becoming an assistant at Auckland Art Gallery under the guidance of Peter Tomory (Director) and Colin McCahon (Deputy Director), to hosting the Big Picture arts TV series, publishing 12 books on the arts and enjoying “the ability to be able to comment” with his columns, twitter and blogs.
